On the morning of March 10, 2023, the School held a special meeting on the cultivation of top-notch innovative talents to discuss the innovation and practice of the national top-notch student training program of basic disciplines and the undergraduate major training of “Two 10,000-Plan”. The meeting invited Professor Li Xiaolong, Associate Dean of the College of Arts, and Zhang Pingdan, Associate Dean of BNUBS, to preside over the meeting. All department heads and undergraduate teachers attended the meeting.

Li Xiaolong introduced in detail the talent training of the top-notch base of basic disciplines of the College of Arts from the aspects of reforming the curriculum system, promoting international communication and promoting personalized talent training, and shared the experience of undergraduate top-notch innovative talent training.

Zhang Pingan conveyed the deployment requirements of the university to promote the construction of the national top base of basic disciplines and the national first-class undergraduate program, introduced the application work of the double bachelor's degree compound talent training project and the joint bachelor's degree project being carried out by the university, and informed the enrollment and re-selection of the major in the past five years. Xu Minbo, director of the Department of Economics, introduced the construction of economics Top Base 2.0.

So far, 5 undergraduate majors of BNUBS have been selected into the national first-class undergraduate major construction“Two 10,000-Plan”, and 1 undergraduate major has been selected into the National Basic Disciplines Top-notch Students Training Plan 2.0 base.
