On the morning of April 17, 2023, BNUBS held the launch and deployment meeting of the themed education of studying and implementing the Xi Jinping Thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in Conference Room 1610 in the Rear Main Building, to thoroughly study and implement the spirit of the General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches on themed education, implement the relevant document deployment and requirements of the Party Committee of the University and mobilize and deploy the thematic education work of the School. All Party and government members, Party committee members, teachers and students Party branch secretaries and Party representatives of the School attended the meeting.

First of all, under the leadership of Sun Zhijun, Secretary of the Party Committee of the School, the participants collectively learned the spirit of the General secretary Xi Jinping's important speech at the Central Conference on Themed Education, and conveyed the spirit of Cheng Jianping, Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, at the mobilization conference on learning and implementing the Xi Jinping Thought of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era in Beijing Normal University. Secretary Sun Zhijun pointed out that the General Secretary Xi Jinping's speech at the conference on Themed Education, from the strategic perspective of the overall development of the cause of the Party and the country in the new era and the new Journey, profoundly elaborated the great significance and objectives of carrying out themed education, and made comprehensive arrangements for various work in themed education. Party members and officials should strengthen their theoretical armaments in an all-round way, continue to rely the Xi Jinping Thought on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era to consolidate their hearts and cast their souls, fully understand the decisive significance of the "Two Establishes", enhance the "Four consciousnesses", strengthen the "Four Confidences", and uphold the " Two Upholds ", so as to truly learn the ideology, strengthen the Party spirit, focus on practice, and make new achievements.

Subsequently, the participants discussed and adopted the Implementation Plan of the CPC BNUBS Committee on the Study and Implementation of the Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era. Sun pointed out that the theme education is a major deployment made by the Central Committee of the CPC to fully implement the spirit of the Party's 20 National Congress and mobilize all Party members to work together to accomplish the central task of the Party, as well as a major deployment to further promote the new great project of Party building in the new era. With the fundamental task of learning, thinking, and unifying knowledge, faith and practice, and with the specific goal of consolidating the heart and casting the soul to build the foundation, toughening the character and strengthening loyalty, working hard to promote development, practicing the purpose for the benefit of the people, and establishing a new spirit of honesty and public service, this practice strived to solve six problems in theoretical study, political quality, ability, responsibility, work style, honesty and self-discipline.

Combining with the objectives and tasks of themed education, Sun Zhijun made three arrangements for the School to carry out the work of themed education. One is to improve the political position, unify ideological understanding, and deeply understand the significance of theme education. Party members and cadres should earnestly integrate their thoughts and actions into the spirit of the General Secretary Xi Jinping's important speeches and the decisions and arrangements of the CPC Central Committee, and actively devote themselves to thematic education with a high degree of political consciousness, full of political enthusiasm, and a serious political attitude. The second is to adhere to the combination of learning and application, highlight the problem-oriented education, and promote high-quality themed education. It is necessary to combine the subject education with the study and implementation of the great spirits of the Party's 20th Congress and economic thoughts to contribute the wisdom and strength of the economic management personnel of Beijing Normal University to the realization of Chinese-style modernization. It is necessary to combine themed education with the promotion of high-quality development of the School, focus on solving the difficulties encountered in the reform and development of the School, and constantly push the construction of "Double First-class" School to a new level. The Third is to strengthen organizational leadership, strengthen overall planning and coordination, and ensure solid results in thematic education. The time is tight, the task is heavy, and the requirements are high. Leading officials should shoulder the political responsibility to carry out the theme education. They should take the lead in theoretical study, investigation and research, as well as problem inspection and rectification, so as to ensure the high quality of the theme education.
