On May 12-14, 2023, the 11th National Congress of the American Economic Association of China, sponsored by the American Economic Association of China and hosted by BNUBS, was held in Wuhan, Hubei Province. After sufficient democratic deliberation and discussion, four teachers of our School, Zhao Chunming, Qu Ruxiao, Cai Hongbo and Kong Haiyang, were elected as the new council members, among which Professor Zhao Chunming was re-elected as the Vice President of the new society, and Professor Cai Hongbo was elected as the Associate Secretary General of the new society.

Founded in 1978, the American Economic Association of China is a state-level organization approved and registered by the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Civil Affairs. It brings together economic research experts and scholars from mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and Chinese Americans in the United States, and has a wide range of social influences at home and abroad. In the process of long-term research on the world economy, international trade, international finance and other fields, the faculty of our School also conducted in-depth research on related American economic issues, and achieved fruitful research results, which have been widely recognized and praised by the industry.
